🐇 The one thing to know first: rabbits are intelligent, social prey animals that live 8-12 years, need far more space than a hutch (plus daily free-run), usually do best bonded with another rabbit, and dislike being picked up. They are not low-effort and rarely ideal for very young children. Please consider adopting - rescues are full of them.
🐰 Dwarf & small breeds Tiny, popular and characterful - but delicate and best for gentle, patient homes.
🐇 Medium breeds The sweet spot - sturdy, handleable and often the calmest family rabbits.

Rabbits are the third most-abandoned pet, and shelters overflow with wonderful ones of every breed - often already neutered and past the chewing-everything phase. See our adoption page before buying, and skip anyone selling "teacup" or "micro" rabbits (there's no such thing).
