What it is

The genetics
Bold Stripe is a polygenic, line-bred trait. On its own it tends to be modestly priced and easy to find, while cleaner, bolder examples and combinations that stack the stripe onto sought-after color lines command more. In general it sits toward the affordable, common end of the market rather than the rare-and-expensive end.

Bold Stripe is a pattern trait with no known genetic health or welfare problem attached to it. Unlike a few leopard gecko morphs that are linked to real welfare issues (for example the Enigma pattern, which is associated with a neurological balance disorder, and Lemon Frost, which is linked to skin tumors), a Bold Stripe carries no special risk beyond the ordinary needs of the species.
