Crested gecko morphs work differently from snake morphs. Most of these 12 traits - Harlequin, Extreme Harlequin, Flame, Tiger, Dalmatian, Pinstripe, Tricolor, Halloween, Cream and Red - are line-bred: many small genes selected over generations, not one switch you can chart on a Punnett square. Two are exceptions. Axanthic is a simple recessive, and Lilly White is co-dominant. Cresteds also fire up and down through the day, so the same animal can look like two different geckos by morning and evening, and hatchlings rarely predict the adult. That makes this group better for keepers who choose the animal first and the label second. The trade-off: Lilly White has no viable super form - two copies are lethal in the egg - so breeders work the trait as a single copy and pair Lilly White to normal-gene geckos. That card is flagged.
