Celestial Eye Goldfish - frequently asked questions
Why were they bred to look up?
Court legend says fish gazing heavenward (and at the emperor above their tub) were auspicious; the trait was fixed centuries ago and defines the breed.
How do they find food?
Above them, easily - Celestials take floating food well; below them, by smell and luck. Feed to their strength.
Celestial or Bubble Eye for a first extreme fancy?
Celestial - same gentleness without puncturable sacs. Neither is a beginner fish; both reward devoted keeping.
